Slightly modified Zanpakuto of Sakata

Akaki Ryu

In its sealed form it has a peculiarly long hilt that is red and wrapped in a white linen. The only visible parts of the hilt that are red are the pommel and where it connects with the guard. The guard resembles that of Ichigo's zangetsu in its bankai form. The blade itself look ordinary, but is sharp.


Shikai: Upon uttering the phrase, "Melt, Akaki Ryu!", The blade's physical appearance changes. The only thing that is the same is the hilt. The guard has now changed to that of a dragon's head and a couple of spikes at the side of its head. The blade itself is now much wider, but is long and slanted at the end. The blade has a line running through it which contains lava and emits a crimson light. The heat emitted from the blade is great but the user is unaffected due to his bond with the zanpakuto.

Shikai Special Ability:

Crimson Heat Wave.
Akaki Ryu Gives off a heat wave upon being activated. This heat can either be spread around or focused on his opponent to induce heat flashes. With enough Reiatsu usage The heat wave could even melt weak to medium strength metals. This ability to give off heat is constant when not being focused and uses up Reiatsu bit by bit.

Crimson Heat Flare Bullet
The user can focus the heat at the tip of the blade, causing it to ignite and by swinging it forward he can throw fireballs through the air at his opponent. They're about the size of a 10 year old boy and can burn about 500 degree Fahrenheit.

Crimson Light
The blade can emit a light bright enough to illuminate the immediate surroundings of the user in dark places. This ability takes up little reiatsu, but for a continuous period of time. It can also be used to blind opponents for short periods of time if flashed instead of being used as constant light.
